A spectacular Egyptian-style sadaf oud: the entire bowl, neck and pegbox are covered in geometric mosaic marquetry of mother-of-pearl and dark wood, with a framed teardrop panel on the back. The front carries matching sawtooth rosette rings around all three soundholes and a harlequin diamond fingerboard. As much a work of art as an instrument.
